Timex Watch Bands
Timex is the manufacturer of almost every kind of watch imaginable. They make watches that fit almost every type of event, from the office to the bottom of the sea. Timex watch bands are manufactured with different materials, sizes and styles to match whatever activity it is that you’re planning on doing, no matter how rigorous or demanding. Timex makes their watches so that the bands are easily replaceable in case of damage. They also offer different styles for the same watch just in case you feel like changing things up and going with a different style than what was originally purchased. This is a nice, convenient feature that really puts Timex ahead of the game.
One of the most popular Timex watch bands is the Expedition collection. This are sport friendly and are meant to mainly be used with the Timex Expedition series watch. They are typically made of Velcro, rubber, or leather.
If you’re engaged in sports and are planning on sweating a lot, my recommendation is the Velcro Timex watch band. Although not typically the most comfortable, this material is going to handle sweat the best, and also dry out the quickest at the end of the activity being performed. Plus, if you’re rough on your equipment and have a tendency to break or damage your watches, the Velcro material is very inexpensive to replace, and relatively easy to install. This is ideal for athletes who engage in heavy cardiovascular activities, such as bikers, hikers, and runners. The only drawback is that Velcro is a bit scratchy and can irritate your skin if left on for too long.
Another option is the leather band. The main benefit of the leather is that it is going to be by far the most comfortable, as well as the most stylish. The material is made of cow hide (skin), which means that it’s going to feel much better pressed against your wrist than an artificially material such as rubber, plastic or Velcro. The drawback of leather is that it takes an extremely long time to fully dry if it becomes wet, and overtime can develop an unpleasant odor due to sweat and bacteria build up. This is going to be a better watch band for someone looking more for style, instead of performance. If you spend most of your time wearing a watch in a social or business setting, then this is the product for you.
Another option is a rubber watch band. This is going to be the best option for the hardcore athlete. Rubber does not absorb water at all, dries within seconds if wiped off, and will not smell over time. The only drawback of a rubber watch band is that it is not the most aesthetically pleasing option for someone who enjoys looks and style in their timepiece. Rubber, however, is usually the most inexpensive option as well, so if you’re particularly bad at taking good care of your watches and your budget happens to be low, then this is the product for you.
Whatever option you decide to go with, Timex has a great warranty to cover you. The warranty always extends to Timex watch bands as well, so whatever product you decide to use, Timex has you covered in all of your adventures.
